What date is the 2024 festival?

When are tickets on sale?
Wednesday 20 September 2023 at 9.00am

When do the gates open?
If you purchase an Early Access pass you can enter the festival from 10.30am. For all General Admission ticket holders the gates will open at 11.00am. Please bring your ticket with you, this can be on your phone or printed.

What if I cannot locate my tickets?

If you cannot find your email confirmation, log in to Eventbrite and go to Tickets. You can also log in to the Eventbrite app to find any mobile tickets you've purchased. Failing this, please contact the event team for assistance.

Where exactly is the festival?
We are located at the Meridian Rowing Centre on the stunning Lake Ruataniwha.

Can I get a ride there?
We will be providing a complimentary shuttle bus to and from Market Place from 10.00am to the festival so you can enjoy your day without driving. There will be bus services from Oamaru and Fairlie these can be purchased when you secure your festival ticket.

Is there seating provided at the festival?
There is some limited seating around the venue, you are welcome to BYO your own camp chairs, picnic rugs and umbrellas. Please note, small gazebos (3x3m) may be brought along, there will be set areas these can be placed in and limited spots available.

What can I bring to the festival?
An empty water bottle to fill up at one of our water stations. Please leave your own food and drink at home, we're lucky to have a huge range of amazing stallholders joining us at the festival.

Do I need cash or EFTPOS?

All vendors selling alcohol will only be accepting EFTPOS, food vendors will accept both cash and EFTPOS. Please note, there will be no ATM onsite.

Will there be gate sales?
No sales at the gate of the festival. If not sold out prior to event day, there will be ticket sales available online up until the event opens.

Am I able to leave the festival and return later?

No, once you leave the festival you cannot re-enter the site. There are strictly no pass outs.

Can I bring animals?
No sorry, we don't allow pets at the festival with the exception of service dogs.

What time does the day wrap up?
The Twizel Salmon and Wine Festival finishes at 5.00pm with last drinks served at 4.30pm.

Can we park our motorhome at the festival parking site?

Sorry, this is not permitted. We recommend contacting the Lake Ruataniwha Holiday Park for their availability.

Can I smoke/vape at the festival?

No, we are proudly a smoke and vape-free event.

What if I am feeling unwell?

If you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for Covid, please stay at home for the health and wellbeing of all attendees.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend the festival?

In line with our terms and conditions, we do not offer refunds however you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person. If you would like to do this, please send an email to salmonandwine@twizel.info letting us know your order number alongside the new ticket holders’ name and email.
