When are tickets on sale?
Wednesday 8th July at 9.00am
When do the gates open?
If you purchase a Premium Gazebo Package you can enter the festival from 10.30am. For all Standard ticket holders the gates will open at 11.00am. Please bring your ticket with you, this can be on your phone (please download in advance)or printed.
What if I cannot locate my tickets?
Please head to the ticketing page for the festival. On the top right hand side you will see ‘My Account’. Please log in and access your tickets from here - TICKETING PAGE
Where exactly is the festival?
We are located at the Meridian Rowing Centre on the stunning Lake Ruataniwha.
Can I get a ride there?
We will be providing a complimentary shuttle bus to and from Market Place from 10.00am to the festival so you can enjoy your day without driving. No ticket is required to travel using this service shuttle only a gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Twizel Community Hub.
There will be bus services from Oamaru and Fairlie; these can be purchased when you secure your festival ticket.
I purchased a Premium or Family Gazebo Package, how does this work?
All 6 people who are part of the Premium or Family Gazebo Package will need to enter the festival together as you are under one ticket. Entry is from 10.30am and you will be allocated a 4x4m site on the grass. Please ensure you bring pegs to secure the structure and remove the gazebo from site at the end of the day. Please note, only those with the Premium and Family Gazebo Package can bring in a gazebo to the event.
Is there seating provided at the festival?
There is some limited seating around the venue, you are welcome to BYO your own camp chairs and picnic rugs. Please note only those with a Premium and Family Gazebo Package will be permitted to bring their own gazebos to site due to limitations on space.
What can I bring to the festival?
An empty or sealed water bottle to fill up at one of our water stations. Please leave your own food and drink at home, we're lucky to have a huge range of amazing stallholders joining us at the festival. If you have an allergy and need to bring your own food in, you can email salmonandwine@twizel.info to receive an exemption letter.
Will I get my own cup / glass?
In 2027 those over 18 will have the choice of a stemless wine glass OR a plastic beer cup, please collect this as you enter the site from our team of volunteers. All youth and under 5 ticket holders will receive a plastic cup.
Do I need cash or EFTPOS?
All vendors selling alcohol will only be accepting EFTPOS, food vendors will accept both cash and EFTPOS. Please note, there will be no ATM onsite.
Will there be gate sales?
No sales at the gate of the festival. If not sold out prior to event day, there will be ticket sales available online up until the event opens.
Am I able to leave the festival and return later?
No, once you leave the festival you cannot re-enter the site. There are strictly no pass outs.
Can I bring animals?
No sorry, we don't allow pets at the festival with the exception of service dogs.
What time does the day wrap up?
The Twizel Salmon and Wine Festival finishes at 5.00pm with last drinks served at 4.30pm.
Can we park our motorhome at the festival parking site?
Sorry, this is not permitted. We recommend contacting the Lake Ruataniwha Holiday Park for their availability.
Can I smoke/vape at the festival?
We will have a dedicated smoking and vaping area to the left as you enter the festival site. With the current fire risks we will ask you to please ensure you utilise this space.
What if I am feeling unwell?
If you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for Covid, please stay at home for the health and wellbeing of all attendees.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend the festival?
In line with our terms and conditions, we do not offer refunds however you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person. If you would like to do this, please send an email to salmonandwine@twizel.info letting us know your order number alongside the new ticket holders’ name and email.

PREMIUM GAZEBO PACKAGES
Gold Premium Gazebo Package. These will be located in front of the stage $899.00 + BF
Silver Premium Gazebo Package. Located on the Eastern and Western sides of the aisles of the main stage $769.00 +BF
Bronze Premium Gazebo Package. Located on the Eastern and Western ends of the Festival $669.00 + BF.
Each site includes a 4m x 4m space to put up one gazebo. Sites will be allocated by the Festival and you will need to supply your own gazebo.
Pricing includes x6 GA Tickets. All 6 ticket holders will be given priority access to the festival from 10.30am before gates officially open at 11.00am.
FAMILY GAZEBO PACKAGES
Located in the Family Area below the children’s entertainment $500.00 + BF
Each site includes a 4m x 4m space to put up one gazebo. Sites will be allocated by the Festival, you will need to supply your own gazebo.
Package includes x4 GA Adults, x4 Youth tickets and x4 0-4 years. All ticket holders will be given priority access to the festival from 10.30am before gates officially open at 11.00am.
TICKETING TERMS & CONDITIONS
By purchasing a ticket to the Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival 2027, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
All Gazebo and GA tickets include entry to the festival and one festival-branded wine glass or plastic cup on arrival.All Youth tickets receive a plastic cup.
Proof of age is required to purchase and consume alcohol at the festival. Guests aged 18 years and over will receive a festival wristband upon entry.
Under 18s: Children 0-4 years receive free admission but must still hold a valid ticket. Youths aged 5–17 years must purchase a valid Youth Ticket. All attendees under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
No food or beverages may be brought into the festival. Empty or sealed water bottles are permitted and may be refilled at the free water stations throughout the venue. Guests with allergies or specific dietary requirements requiring outside food should email salmonandwine@twizel.info prior to the event to request an exemption.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own low-backed camping chairs and picnic blankets.
Guests who purchase a Gazebo Package will be allocated a 4m x 4m site in a designated premium area. The package includes six Adult Tickets and priority entry from 10.30am. Only Gazebo Package holders may bring a gazebo into the festival due to limited space.
The organiser may cancel, postpone or alter the festival if circumstances outside its reasonable control make it unsafe, impractical or impossible to proceed, including but not limited to fire, flooding, severe weather, earthquake, public emergency or other unforeseen events. Any refund offered will be at the organiser's sole discretion and may exclude booking and service fees.
The festival is an all-weather event and will proceed rain, hail or shine unless the organiser determines otherwise. Please come prepared for the forecast conditions.
Except where required by law, tickets are non-refundable. Refunds will not be provided if you are unable to attend, arrive late, leave early, are refused entry or are removed from the venue for breaching these Terms & Conditions.
No dogs or other animals are permitted, except registered assistance dogs.
No pass-outs apply. Once you leave the festival site, re-entry will not be permitted.
The advertised entertainment programme, vendors and attractions are subject to change without notice.
The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission where necessary to protect the safety, security and enjoyment of all attendees.
Admission is at the attendee's own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, damage or injury occurring at the festival where it is not caused by the organiser's negligence.
By attending the festival, you consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded for promotional, marketing and media purposes across print, digital, television and social media without compensation.
As a condition of entry, attendees consent to reasonable security screening, including inspection of bags and personal belongings by authorised event staff or security personnel.
All tickets purchased through the official ticketing platform are subject to applicable booking and processing fees.
Attendees must comply with all lawful directions given by the organiser, event staff, security personnel and emergency services.
The organiser may refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour interferes with the safe or enjoyable operation of the festival or who breaches these Terms & Conditions.
Entry may be refused or attendees removed if they:
Fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Appear to be significantly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
Engage in illegal, violent, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or antisocial behaviour.
Enter restricted areas without authorisation.
Damage festival property or infrastructure.
Climb structures, staging or fencing.
Engage in behaviour that places themselves or others at risk.
Fail to follow reasonable directions from event staff or security.
21.The organiser reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items. Confiscated items will not be returned or compensated.
Prohibited Items include (but are not limited to):
Alcohol or illegal drugs.
Weapons or knives.
Glass bottles or containers.
Fireworks, flares or explosives.
Portable BBQs or open flames.
Drones.
Professional recording equipment without prior approval.
Laser pointers.
Skateboards, scooters, bicycles or rollerblades.
Air horns or amplified sound devices.
Toy weapons.
Offensive banners or signage.
Animals (other than assistance dogs).
Umbrellas are not permitted inside the festival as they obstruct the view of other guests and can create safety hazards in crowded areas. Please bring suitable wet-weather clothing such as rain jackets or ponchos if rain is forecast.
Any other item considered by the organiser to present a safety or security risk.
The following behaviours may also result in refusal of entry or eviction:
Throwing, launching or projecting any object.
Instigating violence, racism or discrimination.
Behaving in a threatening, offensive or intimidating manner.
Creating any risk to the safety of yourself or others.
22.Guests requiring medical, mobility or accessibility equipment that may otherwise be considered a prohibited item should notify event staff upon arrival.
23.Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated smoking areas.
24.If an attendee becomes ill or injured, the organiser or event staff may arrange appropriate medical treatment or emergency evacuation where reasonably necessary. Any associated costs may be the responsibility of the attendee.
25.Please help protect the environment by using the rubbish and recycling bins provided. Attendees must not damage vegetation, wildlife, facilities or other property at the venue.
26.Swimming in any nearby rivers, streams, lakes, ponds or other bodies of water is strictly prohibited. Anyone choosing to enter the water does so entirely at their own risk, and the organiser accepts no liability for any resulting injury, loss or damage.
27.Amendments to Terms & Conditions
The organiser reserves the right to amend, update or vary these Terms & Conditions at any time prior to the Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival 2027. Any changes will be published on the official festival website and will take effect from the time of publication. By attending the festival, ticket holders agree to be bound by the most current version of these Terms & Conditions.
